Warranty and Return Policy

Warranty
The Highland Hornpipe is fully warranted against any defects in material or workmanship for 6 months from the date of shipping. In the event of such defects, an instrument will be either replaced or repaired to its full functional and cosmetic state with shipping costs paid by us. Please see details below on the procedure for returning an instrument.

Some things not covered by this warranty are:

  • Reed failure
  • Mouthpiece wear
  • Threading wear in ligatures
  • Plating wear on bell
  • Cosmetic changes arising from normal use (scratches etc.)
  • Damage due to impact, undue pressure, extremes in temperature, attempted repair or modification

Return Policy
Please read this entire return policy and then contact us before attempting to make a return.

Aside from the warranty outlined above, items may be returned within 21 days from the date of shipping. A refund, minus the costs of shipping, reeds and mouthpiece (which must be considered used) will be issued through PayPal only. In cases where the original payment was made using PayPal, there is a further deduction of 3% of the total payment which is claimed by PayPal in the original transaction. Please contact us for exact amounts.

Returns, warranty or otherwise, must be made using regular postal service “Expedited” or equivalent (Air Mail outside of North America). Returns made by independent couriers (UPS, FedEx etc.) will not be accepted due to the brokerage fees associated with them.

Items must be properly packaged and be received in the same condition as when they were shipped, unless returning under warranty. All customs declaration forms must clearly indicate “returning for repair, exchange” or equivalent. Items returned without this clearly indicated will not be accepted because of undue customs and duty charges.

Please contact us at: info@newcelticinstruments.com if you are uncertain about any of these terms before attempting to make a return and we will be glad to help in any way possible.
